Maxwell Technologies’ engine start module starts up to 15-L diesel engines with a single Group 31 module in temperatures from -40 to +140°F (-40 to +60°C), including larger engines with multiple modules. The ultracapacitor-based module contains no lead or other toxic materials and has no moving parts or chemical reactions for a long life and improved cold cranking amps. Ultracapacitor products provide reliable power for various transportation applications. With an estimated 10-year life, the module reduces battery consumption, supports anti-idle initiatives, and conserves fuel due to idling.
