To meet an increasing demand for turbo technology solutions, Rhodia Engineering Plastics’ Technyl heat performance range of polyamide 6.6 grades for the automotive industry is specifically engineered for both injection- and blow-molded parts for turbocharged engines. Technyl B2 is the new generation for 2-D and 3-D blow molding that allows complex tubular parts capable of resisting temperatures of up to 210°C (410°F). This complements Rhodia’s Technyl offering for turbo systems, which includes the Technyl heat performance range of products for injection-molded applications providing continuous temperature resistance of 200°C (392°F). Along with its high temperature resistance, the new generation of Technyl grades for turbo applications offers processability and cost competitiveness.
