EB Guide 5.4, the latest version of EB (Elektrobit)’s in-vehicle human-machine interface (HMI) development platform, enables carmakers and suppliers to create multimodal HMIs for a seamless user experience. According to EB, the new version of the platform offers carmakers more flexibility, shortens time to market, and reduces the cost of designing HMI. It supports speech, gesture, and multitouch interaction. In addition, EB presents in a technology demonstrator how web-based applications using HTML5 can be safely and conveniently integrated in embedded automotive HMIs generated with the platform. Other features include 3-D graphical animation and effects, voice interaction, and haptic input.
