Igus’ iglide GV0 polymer plain bearing material is fire retardant and is classified according to UL94 with V0 standards. Iglide GV0 reportedly offers improved physical and thermal properties, with a maximum short-term application temperature of 410°F (210°C) and a maximum long-term application temperature of 266°F (130°C). Iglide offers a high load capacity at low- to medium-sliding velocities and enhances wear resistance on most shaft materials. The additional V0 classification makes the material suitable for use in areas with high fire-protection regulations, including aircraft, on- and off-highway, and rail vehicle interiors.
