Thermo-Calc Software and QuesTek Innovations have jointly developed TC-Prisma, a software package for modeling precipitation in multicomponent and multiphase systems. TC-Prisma evaluates concurrent nucleation and growth and incorporates key models and algorithms from QuesTek’s PrecipiCalc software to computationally design new alloys for use in aerospace, defense, racing, and other industries. A computational tool for simulating multiparticle precipitation kinetics of diffusion-controlled processes in multicomponent and multiphase alloy systems, TC-Prisma can be used for calculations of concurrent nucleation, growth/dissolution, and coarsening of precipitates; temporal evolution of particle size distribution; average particle radius and number density; volume fraction and composition of precipitate; nucleation rate and coarsening rate; and time-temperature-precipitation diagrams. The software is available for Microsoft Windows.
