The lead-free glass-ceramic dielectric tape comes with compatible gold and silver conductive materials as well as co-fired embedded resistor materials. It is suited for electronic system designs that need to provide a high-density, low-loss interconnect and packaging solution with high reliability. It is also more robust in processing, with a stable dielectric constant, even when refired, which results in greater consistency and higher yields for final circuits.

The device combines a 3U controller with a reliable, scalable storage subsystem. The rack-mountable data recorder can record up to four channels of GbE data at 125 MB/s per channel. Carling Technologies offers the N-Series addressable rocker switch, featuring the look and feel of a traditional electro-mechanical control coupled with a built-in printed circuit board to provide an alternative to a CAN/LIN-based switch. The N-Series produces up to 144 individual switch IDs by using a resistive ladder circuit. Different switch IDs are achieved by changing the resistor values tied to individual loads, which are then assigned to the specific functions the switch is controlling. Each switch is connected to an ECU, and application software is written to recognize the switch IDs to determine what load is being controlled and the selected actuator position. Wiring harnesses are simplified, and specific loads can be controlled from any location within a vehicle cab, providing design flexibility. Other features include an operating temperature range of -40 to +85°C (-40 to +185ºF).

The Torductor-S torque sensor from ABB provides consistent noncontact torque measurement. Designed for continuous use, the sensor is suited for applications requiring reliability and accuracy. With the torque sensor in the drivetrain, direct real-time data can be obtained from engine and transmission. The sensor is based on the magnetostrictive property of the load-carrying shaft, which is surrounded by a stationary coil arrangement. The sensor is excited by a current in the primary winding, and any change in permeability is picked up by the secondary winding, giving an output signal directly indicative of the load state of the shaft. It measures directly on the load-carrying shaft and can present a signal of the current torque in the drivetrain. Torductor-S is suitable for closed-loop control, diagnosis of future combustion concepts and advanced transmissions, and condition-based maintenance.
