J.R. Merritt Controls’ MG9, MG9-4, and MG25 palm grips meet the needs of industry users who operate overhead, container, and gantry cranes, as well as mining dredges, draglines, and shovels. Operator feedback was considered during the design and development of the handles, with the MG9, MG9-4, and MG25 all constructed from Delrin for improved durability. When the grips are mounted on the company’s line of joysticks and master switches, the user can maneuver the joystick by placing the handle shaft in the space between the thumb and pointer finger, which is effective when used in conjunction with a console-mounted wrist rest. Palm handles accommodate tactile, sealed, high-life, and momentary push buttons, improving controller functionality.
