The Spicer TZL16 powershift transmission from Dana is engineered to supply 19-ton (21-t) front-end loaders with higher horsepower capability, reduced maintenance, and quieter operation. With a rating of 200 to 245 hp (150 to 180 kW) and a 555-mm (22-in) drop, the Spicer TZL Series is a four-speed transmission platform using internal components from Spicer powershift transmissions already available for the off-highway market. The TZL16 includes high-energy-capacity forward and reverse clutches, adaptive clutch modulation, and helical gears to deliver a transmission with improved shift quality. The Spicer TZL16 transmission also features two 400-N•m (295-lb•ft) SAE C pump drives with a variable pump ratio and 240-mm (9-in) pump spacing, enabling optimal displacement system pumps and hydraulic plumbing.
