The latest Synopsys Virtualizer modeling interface and automation release improves virtual prototype creation, enabling an earlier start to software development. The Virtualizer tool set was designed to create virtual prototypes and development kits that accelerate embedded software development. Enhanced model authoring capability speeds the creation of SystemC-based transaction-level models used to build virtual prototypes, while an import function reduces modeling effort and errors by automating model generation from IP specifications captured in formats such as IP-XACT, Excel, Word, and PDF. A simulation profiler identifies execution bottlenecks to improve prototype simulation performance. Synopsys Virtualizer integrates with software debuggers such as ARM Development Studio 5 and Lauterbach TRACE32 System to identify bugs through multicore and context-aware debugging.
