Ametek Vehicular Instrumentation Systems offers a series of gauges for use with its C-COM instrument systems. A diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) version provides a graphic display in a 2-in (51-mm) gauge form-factor. The gauge displays current DEF level using data from the J1939 CAN databus in bar chart form and also displays yellow and red warning lights when levels drop as well as a “No Data” warning if data is lost. The fuel-economy version draws information from the J1939 CAN databus and displays average mpg, current mpg, trip fuel usage, total fuel usage, and fuel consumption rate. Screens can be enlarged for quick viewing during operation, and the operator can display data in English or metric units.
