The MLO3 Series organic RF capacitors from AVX include 500- and 250-V dc, surface-mount capacitors with 0603 case size, capable of supporting frequencies of 1 MHz to above 5 GHz. The high-Q, low-ESR (equivalent series resistance) capacitors are suited for RF power amplifiers, filter networks, and magnetic resonance imaging system applications. Based on the firm’s multilayer low-loss organic technology, the polymer-based organic capacitors use high-conductivity copper interconnects in a multilayer fashion. The RoHS-compliant devices are rated for 50–500 V dc and feature capacitance values ranging from 0.1 to 2.5 pF and capacitance tolerance to ±0.02 pF.
