Ford Motor Co. has selected Goodyear’s new Assurance Fuel Max tire in size P205/60R16 as original equipment for the 2010 Fusion S. The Assurance Fuel Max features a fuel-saving tread compound that helps reduce energy loss as the tire rolls. The tire’s Wet Tread Zone features dual Aquachannel grooves to help evacuate water away from the tread face when driving on wet roads; its Dry Tread Zone helps enhance handling and grip on dry pavement. Assurance Fuel Max is available as a replacement tire choice for many vehicles. (See www.sae.org/mags/aei/6489 for more detailed information on the tire, including its fitment on the 2011 Chevrolet Volt.)
