The new C527 14-V pad-mount brushless alternator from C.E. Niehoff & Co. produces 170 A at 200°F (93°C) at idle speeds, which the company claims is the highest power rating for an alternator to fit in the standard pad-mount envelope. Designed and manufactured in the U.S., the unit is self-energizing and has remote battery voltage and temperature compensation capabilities. The C527 also is equipped with the latest bearing technology to ensure years of service.
