International Rectifier’s AUIR0815S automotive-qualified IC features high-output current in excess of 10 A to drive large insulated gate bipolar transistors or metal oxide semiconductor field-effect transistors in inverter stages for the powertrains of hybrid and electric vehicles. The device simplifies the design of inverter systems by offering high current drive capability with the necessary protection features and qualification requirements for the harsh automotive drivetrain environment. Its low output impedance and power losses allow operation in harsh and high-temperature environments. Typical output resistance is 90 milliohm sink and 180 milliohm source.
