Maplesoft offers updated Maple 16 technical computing software featuring more than 4500 additions including new tools in the clickable math collection. Drag-to-Solve and Smart Popups join palettes, interactive assistants, context-sensitive menus, tutors, and other math tools to provide a point-and-click interface for solving, visualizing, and exploring mathematical problems. With Drag-to-Solve, users can solve equations step-by-step by dragging individual terms and can explore expressions to determine next steps. Smart Popups show mathematical identities, plots, and factorizations for the highlighted expression, helping users choose the next operation. Additional improvements were made in mathematical algorithms, programming language, engineering tools, documentation, education features, and authoring tools including visualization enhancements, over 100 additional math apps, and functionality to support programming and application development.
