Perkins has launched its first Tier 4 Final emissions-compliant engine. The 400F is an addition to the 400 Series range and meets Tier 4 Final/Stage IIIB regulations that come into effect in January 2013 in the U.S. above 19 kW (25 hp) and in the EU above 37 kW (50 hp). The 400 Series offers reliability with improved performance, and the 400F gives off-highway equipment manufacturers an alternative for a small, high-performance machine with up to 45.5 kW (61 hp). The engine's compact three- and four-cylinder lineup expands options for model range development.
