MapleSim's driveline component library from Maplesoft is a collection of components for driveline modeling applications that covers all powertrain stages, from the engine to the differential, wheels, and road loads, as well as vehicle dynamics. MapleSim is a physical modeling and simulation tool built on symbolic computation technology. Using the software with the driveline component library allows designers to mix physical models and empirical data to maximize model fidelity and improve overall vehicle fuel efficiency. Users can connect library components together in the required configuration without concern over issues such as torque direction and load flow; these issues are resolved automatically by the underlying solver, improving complex model production times. The library also provides an option allowing the incorporation of power losses into the model.
