SAE Member for 18 years
Robert Brocx is the Test Engineering Manager at Red Dot Corporation and has worked in the company's Technical Center for the past twenty-five years. After receiving an Associated Degree in Pre-Engineering, Brocx joined the army and spent two years in Aschaffenburg, Germany, in a mechanized infantry unit. Later, he attended Central Washington University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering Technology.
An active member of SAE International, Brocx explains that he "truly enjoys getting together with industry's leading OEMs and suppliers to develop SAE and ISO standards. Participation in standards development keeps me in touch with the latest information pertaining to the mobile HVAC market."
Brocx was one of the 2013 recipients of the Technical Standards Board Outstanding Achievement Award, which recognizes individuals for outstanding service in the technical committee activities of SAE International. This includes valuable contributions to the work of SAE International technical committees, unusual leadership in the activities of an SAE International technical committee, significant contributions as a representative of SAE International to the accomplishments of technical committees of other organizations or of government agencies, and outstanding contributions to SAE International technical committee work in the form of research, test methods and procedures, and/or development of standards.
