Reinvented SAE 2010 World Congress Offers More Focused Technology and Cost Saving Solutions

WARRENDALE, Pa., Aug. 18, 2009 -

Responding to the changing needs of today’s automotive technical professionals, the SAE World Congress reinvents itself for 2010.

The event, themed “Ecollaboration – Engage. Exchange. Excel,” will be hosted by Ford Motor Company with Tier One Strategic Partner, Magna International.

The event will move from a four-day event to a three-day format, scheduled for April 13-15 at Cobo Center in Detroit. In addition, the technical program will feature a renewed emphasis on only the most relevant and innovative technologies. Toward this, subject matter experts will open selected daily sessions, offering their futuristic vision on specific technology issues.

Other changes being implemented for the SAE 2010 World Congress include:

·       Live Internet broadcasts of the FEV Powertrain Innovation Forum and AVL Technology Leadership Center management programs

·      A smaller, more exclusive exhibit limited to 100 companies featuring the latest innovative solutions. Exhibit applications will be screened by a panel comprising OEMs and other industry technology experts

·      Private hospitality suites for networking or proprietary displays

·      Peer-to-peer technology breakout networking sessions with subject matter experts

·      Concierges to help attendees identify relevant activities to maximize their World Congress experience

A newly revised pricing structure offering valuable benefits for SAE International members and non-members alike. Qualified SAE International members may be eligible to attend one day of the conference for free. Also, eligible unemployed technical professionals will be able to attend the event for free.
