SAE International and Magna Agree to New Partnership in Technical Content Distribution
WARRENDALE, Pa., March 23, 2011 - SAE International and Magna International, one of the world’s most diverse automotive suppliers, have agreed to partner in the distribution of unique technical content.
Under the new partnership, SAE International will be the exclusive distributor of papers developed for the European All-Wheel Drive Congress (hosted by Magna Powertrain, Magna Steyr and Magna E-Car Systems), which will be made available on SAE’s website.
“This is an excellent initiative for both organizations as it blends the relevance and prestige of Magna within the automotive industry with SAE International’s ability to reach the mobility market globally,” said Kevin Jost, Editorial Director at SAE International.
This effort is part of SAE International’s new Content Partnership Program, which seeks to expand the society’s offerings in technical information. This includes co-publishing or reselling premium content in cutting-edge technologies, acquired by working closely with traditional and non-traditional publishers, industry experts, and a variety of knowledge providers.
“From Magna’s perspective, it is the ideal model to make the high-quality technical content produced at the European All-Wheel Drive Congress more visible to the community that needs it most,” said Erwin Haas, Senior Vice-President Engineering, Magna Powertrain.
