SAE International Honors Cranberry Township Resident with Highest Staff Honor

WARRENDALE, Pa., Aug. 2, 2011 - Jolene McKenzie, a 22-year employee of SAE International, which is headquartered in Warrendale, Pa., is the 2011 recipient of the Joe Gilbert Award.

The Joe Gilbert Award is the organization’s highest staff honor. It recognizes SAE International employees who demonstrate positive professionalism in the workplace.  Candidates are nominated annually by their peers and the recipient is selected by a diverse panel of employees.  The award honors Gilbert, SAE International’s third executive vice president who served from 1960-1985.

“First and foremost, the Joe Gilbert Award acknowledges the importance of treating people with respect and professionalism; such values are very important here at SAE International,” David L. Schutt, CEO, SAE International, said. “Jolene McKenzie exemplifies those attributes to the highest degree. McKenzie is an e-Marketing specialist at SAE International, where she began her career in 1989. In that role, she oversees the organization's e-channel efforts including e-mail scheduling, writing content/producing three industry sector product/services e-Newsletters with opt-in lists of 200,000+, e-mail creative using HTML coding, and e-mail deployment. In addition, she helps implement marketing plans to promote the products and services portfolio in all e-channels, including via the SAE International Web site. McKenzie resides in Cranberry Twp., Pa.
