SAE International Assistant Editor Ryan Gehm Wins TWNA Technical Writing Awards

WARRENDALE, Pa., April 4, 2012 - Assistant editor Ryan Gehm and SAE International’s Automotive Engineering International (AEI) magazine were recently presented with a Gold Award in the Truck Writers of North America's annual Communication Awards competition.

Gehm and AEI received the award in the Internet Writing - Technical category for the article "Big losers," which appeared in the April 2011 digital edition of the publication. Gehm and the article also won the “Best of Internet” division, awarded to the top entry among all category winners.

The awards were presented March 22 in Louisville, Ky., at the annual Truck Writers of North America Industry Awards Banquet. The Communication Awards competition recognizes excellence in trucking industry journalism in the trade and mainstream press.

"Big losers" details key technologies and trends that medium- and heavy-vehicle makers and suppliers are pursuing to help meet new upcoming federal regulations governing fuel consumption and greenhouse-gas emissions. In particular, various industry leaders discuss their companies’ efforts to employ more lightweight materials and optimally designed systems.
