Washington, D.C., the Site for SAE International 2014 Government/Industry Meeting

WARRENDALE, Pa., Dec. 9, 2013 - SAE International will hold its 2014 Government/Industry Meeting Jan. 22-24 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

This event will provide opportunities for technical authorities from government, industry and academia who are leading advanced automotive technology, regulations and pending legislation to address issues that will influence future decision making for those within the industry.

Presentations will focus on critical developments in energy and environment, ICE, diesel, hybrid, and electric drive technology, fuel technology, crashworthiness, vehicle harmonization and compliance as well as other timely topics that are a necessity for attendees, speakers and exhibitors working within mobility to understand.

The plenary session, which will be held Wed., Jan. 22, from 3-5 p.m. in Room 145 AB, will focus on the theme of "Continuing Collaboration for the Protection of all Road Users and the Environment". Panelists will discuss the challenges in these areas that lay ahead and the opportunities as well as barriers that exist to identify and work on these issues together.
