New On-Demand Presentation from SAE International Explores the Importance of Requirements Review throughout a Project

WARRENDALE, Pa., Oct. 8, 2014 -

Undertaking the requirements review late in the project lifecycle is often left as a final check. But, underestimating the importance of the requirements review in the early stages of a project can be a big mistake that directly impacts cost and revenue. A new, 20-minute, on-demand presentation from SAE International discusses how reviewing requirements can be made easier and how a collaborative environment can make reviews informal and iterative, as well as formal and final, to suit project needs.

Sponsored by IBM, “Transform Projects With Next-Generation Requirements Review” will provide participants with the opportunity to discover:

·         How the reviews of individual requirements, collections of requirements, and requirements modules are for different purposes and should be carried out separately.

·         How presenting the relevant information on screen and allowing the reviewer to comment with just a web browser can reduce effort and maintain focus on the context of the current review.

·         How collaborative reviews help separate and prioritize comments from requirements and are easier to track.

A question and answer session will be included in the presentation.

Lead speaker will be:

·         Hazel Woodcock, Systems Engineer, IBM Rational. Woodcock has more than five years of experience in the automotive arena and 15 years in the defense industry. For over a decade, she has helped various organizations across industries improve their requirements management practices. An IBM Rational DOORS Family technical expert, she has delivered numerous trainings and is a well-known consultant for effective use of the IBM Rational Requirements Management suite of products.

Moderator will be Lisa Arrigo, Custom Electronic Products Editor, SAE International.
