Henderson Nominated as 2006 SAE International President

Warrendale, PA, April 18, 2005 - Greg W. Henderson, P.E.SAE International's Annual Nominating Committee named Greg W. Henderson, P.E., as its candidate for 2006 SAE President.

Henderson, Director of Weight Management & Control for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, currently serves as SAE's Treasurer and has been a member of the SAE Board of Directors since 1991. He received SAE's most distinguished award, the SAE Medal of Honor, in 1999.

Henderson's involvement with SAE began as a student while attending Oklahoma State University. By 1986, Henderson became the first SAE White House Fellow in the Executive Office of the President, Office of Science and Technology Policy. At the White House, he was senior policy analyst in the areas of industrial competitiveness, high-temperature superconductivity and electronics. In addition, he chaired the White House Committee on Materials and was a member of the U.S. Committee on Foreign Investment.

Henderson, a resident of Ft. Worth, Texas, will take office in January 2006.
