Chalgren, Jr. and Barron honored with 2003 Arch T. Colwell Merit Award

WARRENDALE, Pa., July 27, 2005 - Mr. Barron is senior advanced development engineer in Valeo Engine Cooling’s Truck Division, where he is involved in developing new and revised commercial market heat exchangers and systems to satisfy ever-tightening emissions regulations. He has worked on automotive heat exchanger technology since 1964 in product design and development, and has been a key player in many new and innovative product development successes. Barron has authored several industry papers and has been awarded with the distinction of "Valeo Expert," after demonstrating evidence of superior knowledge in the areas of heat exchanger performance and design, and the development of thermal management systems. He currently sits on two SAE Committees: Cooling Systems Standards and Thermal Systems Management. Barron holds an associates degree in applied science from Jamestown Community College.
