SAE International Symposium Will Explore Latest Trends and Strategies in Heavy-Duty Diesel Emissions Control Technologies
WARRENDALE, Pa., Jan. 13, 2016 - The SAE 2016 Heavy-Duty Diesel Emissions Control Symposium (HDDEC) will be held September 20-21, 2016, in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The two-day program will focus on regulatory facts and trends, technical information and the latest strategies regarding heavy-duty diesel emissions control technologies.
As alternative fuels, fuel economy, and carbon dioxide emissions continue to be heated subjects in the mobility industry, attendees will hear and interact with the most knowledgeable leaders from the global, heavy-duty diesel powertrain industry with the focus primarily on emission control strategies such as in-service maintenance, retro-fitting exhaust after-treatment equipment and the potential for global harmonization of emission standards.
Attendees will experience presentations and discussions regarding:
- Global Legislation
- Emerging Markets
- Alternative Fuel & Powertrains
- Engine Developments
- Catalyst & Substrate Developments
- Non-Road Strategies & Future Developments
- On-Road Strategies & Future Developments
“The papers to be presented at the conference deal with experiences from the major global markets, and concerns on-road as well as off-road applications,” said Gudmund Smedler, Heavy Duty Technology Director – European Region, Johnson Matthey, and organizer of the event. “The technical program provides an in-depth description of the latest technologies, given by carefully selected experts from engine manufacturers and the leading catalyst suppliers. In addition, the program covers the latest developments regarding emission legislation, future fuels and alternative powertrain developments.”
Join HDDEC peers as they meet in Gothenburg to hear from and interact with the industry’s global leaders who best understand the applicable regulations and the resulting complicated science of the pollutants emitted during engine combustion and the resulting technologies required to treat them.
