Roosevelt Elementary of West Bloomfield Earns Grand Championship at SAE International’s 5th Annual AWIM International Motorized Toy Car Competition

WARRENDALE, Pa., April 22, 2016 - SAE International announces that Roosevelt Elementary (Team #10) of the West Bloomfield School District was the Grand Champion of the 5th Annual A World In Motion® (AWIM) International Motorized Toy Car Competition, which was held Tuesday, April 12, during the SAE 2016 World Congress.

The Motorized Toy Challenge, which was hosted by SAE International and sponsored by Henkel and Honeywell, was created as a friendly competition where students (in Engineering Design Teams of three or four) competed in a variety of engineering design competitions that demonstrated the classroom-based AWIM experience they engaged in for the weeks leading up to the competition.
