Dr. Christine K. Lambert of the Ford Research and Innovation Center Named SAE International Fellow
WARRENDALE, Pa., May 26, 2016 - SAE International announces that Dr. Christine K. Lambert was elected as a 2015-2016 SAE Fellow. Dr. Lambert was one of 18 Fellow inductees recognized during ceremonies at the 2016 SAE World Congress, April 12-14 in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Lambert was recognized as an SAE Fellow for the research and development of diesel after treatment systems that led to the commercialization of lean NOx control technology using aqueous urea on U.S. diesel trucks.
She is a Technical Leader for emission control catalysts and filters in the Chemical Engineering Department at the Ford Research and Innovation Center. Lambert started working at Ford in 1999 after she received a PhD in Catalysis from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Dr. Lambert remains involved with SAE International through her volunteer work as an SAE paper reviewer and as a technical session organizer for diesel after-treatment papers in 2002 and 2006. Most notably Lambert holds 26 U.S. patents and is co-author of more than 70 technical papers in the areas of supported metal catalysts and emission control systems, including 25 SAE publications.
SAE Fellow is the highest grade of membership bestowed by SAE International. It recognizes outstanding engineering, scientific and leadership accomplishments by an individual that have resulted in meaningful advances in automotive, aerospace, and commercial vehicle technologies. The program, established in 1975, recognizes an average of 20 recipients worldwide for this honor each year.
