Marc Parent to receive the 2005 SAE Aerospace Engineering Leadership Award

Marc Parent, group president, simulation products for CAE (NYSE: CGT; TSX: CAE), has been selected as this year's recipient of the SAE Aerospace Engineering Leadership Award. Parent will be honored on Wednesday, October 5, 2005 during the SAE 2005 AeroTech Congress & Exhibition at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Airport Area of Texas.
This award, established in 1992, annually honors an individual at the corporate official level for outstanding leadership contributions to the field of aerospace engineering-those individuals who have applied their leadership skills to make contributions that have had great positive impact on the aerospace community.
Parent joined CAE in February 2005. He was formerly vice president and general manager at Bombardier Aerospace. During his 20-year career with Bombardier Aerospace, Parent held a number of senior management positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, product development and management, and operations at Bombardier facilities in Montreal, Toronto, and Tucson, Arizona.
Parent was honored in 1999 as one of "Canada's Top 40 under 40" leaders and is a recipient of SAE's Forest R. McFarland Award. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the Université de Montréal at l'École Polytechnique and completed studies at the Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program.
