SAE Foundation Participates in “National Day of Giving” To Inspire More Students in STEM Education

WARRENDALE, Pa., Nov. 15, 2016 - The “National Day of Giving” will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 29. The SAE Foundation supports the spirit of the day and asks people to donate to SAE International’s science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programs. Celebrated on the Tuesday following the shopping days of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the “National Day of Giving,” #GivingTuesday, began in 2012 to bring focus to the charitable season using the power of social media. In 2015, the initiative raised more than $116 million in more than 70 countries.

SAE President Cuneyt Oge has pledged to match any donations to the SAE Foundation, made on Nov. 29, up to $2,500.
