Kai Yu, president of the China Automotive Technology and Research Center, will kick off the second day of WCX17, the SAE International world congress, when he delivers the keynote address at 8 a.m. Wednesday in the Grand Riverview Ballroom B. Yu’s talk, China’s Automotive Industry Development and Sustainable Innovation, will provide insight on China’s governmental policies, standards and prospects for sustainable innovations, including autonomous and new energy vehicles.
WCX Leadership Summit to host former US DOT secretary
Former Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx will be interviewed by Jeff Gilbert, Automotive Reporter for WWJ, at 9:15 a.m. at The Exchange in the main exhibit hall. Foxx, the former mayor of Charlotte, will deliver insights into the world of regulation, the future of mobility technology, customer acceptance, and the effects of disruption on the marketplace. The Foxx-Gilbert exchange is part of the WCX Leadership Summit.
The future of a great company: BMW – The Next 100 Years
At 1 p.m., Roberto Rossetti, vice president of BMW North America, will speak on BMW – The Next 100 Years at the WCX Tech Hub, located in The Exchange in the main exhibit hall.
Lessons Learned from the U of M Solar Car Project
Michael Katz, of the University of Michigan Solar Car project, will speak on Lessons Learned from a Solar Car at 4:30 p.m. at the WCX Learning Lab, located in The Exchange in the main exhibit hall.
