SAE International Announces Keynote Speaker for the On-board Diagnostics Symposium
WARRENDALE, Pa., Aug. 24, 2017 - SAE International announces the keynote speaker for the upcoming On-Board Diagnostics Symposium (OBD) to be held at the Wyndham Anaheim Garden Grove in Garden Grove, CA. The OBD program features a keynote speaker from the California Air Resource Board (CARB) who will discuss the need to expand the OBD system to track emission performance and provide expert recommendations.
Annette Hebert will give a keynote address on "Real World Emissions, Is it Time to Evolve the Role of Onboard Diagnostics?", Tuesday, September 26t. Annette plays an instrumental role in modernizing the certification program, enhancing light- and heavy-duty in-use programs, ensuring the success of emission warranty programs, and identifying and correcting performance gaps in vehicle technology such as improvements in the application of selective catalytic reduction through rigorous certification and field assessment activities for CARB since 2006. Currently, she serves as the Division Chief in the Mobile Source program.
The OBD technical program will also feature an additional 28 presentations that explore several critical topics that directly influence future powertrain development, testing, and ground vehicle emissions reduction including on-board diagnostics, alternative fuel engines, diesel fuels, drivetrain, embedded software, emissions & emission control, engine control systems, environmental regulations and standards, exhaust systems, hybrid Power, power systems, propulsion, and more.
