SAE International CFO Earns Certified Association Executive Credential

WARRENDALE, Pa., June 30, 2006 - Dana Pless, chief financial officer for SAE International, has earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). Fewer than five percent of all association professionals earn the CAE.

To be designated as a CAE, among other requirements, an applicant must have a minimum of three years of experience in nonprofit management and complete a minimum of 75 hours of specialized professional development. Approximately 3,300 association professionals currently hold the CAE credential, which was first awarded in 1961.

Pless, who is a Certified Public Accountant, began his career at SAE International in 1998, serving as controller. Prior that, he was director of finance at NACE International, an engineering society in Houston, Texas.

A 1981 graduate of the Indiana University School of Business, Pless is a member of the Board of Directors of the Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives where he serves as treasurer. He previously served as treasurer for the Pittsburgh Society of Association Executives and is also a member of the ASAE and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Pless joins four other SAE International employees who have earned their CAE, including executive vice president and COO Raymond A. Morris.
