SAE International COO Raymond Morris Joins PVGP Board

WARRENDALE, Pa., Nov. 15, 2006 - Raymond (Ray) Morris, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of SAE International, has been named to the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix (PVGP) Board of Directors.

"Ray Morris' selection to the PVGP board is significant in several ways. As executive vice president of SAE International, Ray represents the leadership of one of the world's most influential and important automotive organizations," Dan DelBianco, Executive Director of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix said. "He also brings a wealth of experience and influence as a corporate leader that will strengthen our fundraising efforts. Most importantly, his integrity and character will serve the PVGP well as the board guides the event and oversees our financial responsibilities."

SAE International has been a sponsor of the PVGP for the past two years, and Morris sees his board appointment as a way to continue the involvement with such a worthwhile cause. "Although SAE International reaches across the globe, we are rooted right here in the Pittsburgh area. I've always believed that it is important for businesses to support local charities and this is an excellent way for us to help the PVGP continue its excellent work."

SAE International is a global automotive, aerospace and commercial vehicle engineering society with more than 90,000 members in 100 nations.

The PVGP Board of Directors meets triennially to guide the direction of the grand prix, oversee the financial accountability of the event, and oversee how money is distributed to the identified charities.

The PVGP annually produces a vintage racing event designed to raise funds to help provide residential care, treatment and support for developmentally disabled individuals in the Pittsburgh region.

Morris is a native of the North Hills and has worked at SAE International for 33 years. He is a graduate of Robert Morris University.
