Fritz Receives SAE Technical Standards Board Outstanding Contribution Award
WARRENDALE, Pa., Dec. 13, 2006 - Dan Fritz of Foamex International has been selected to receive SAE International's Technical Standards Board Outstanding Contribution Award. He will be presented his award at the SAE 2007 World Congress in Detroit, April 16-19.
This award, established in 1953, recognizes individuals for outstanding service to SAE International's technical committee activities. Fritz is being recognized for his work on the Material, Process and Parts Council.
Fritz manages advanced product quality planning and automotive labs at Foamex International in Auburn, Ind. In these roles, Fritz coordinates the company's automotive product launches and oversees the quality planning program in the automotive division. Fritz, who has worked at Foamex since 1980, has held positions as a laboratory technician, pour line operator, plant manager, and corporate automotive quality manager.
Fritz co-authored an article for the Industrial Fabrics Association International magazine, Review. He has been recognized by ASTM International with an award of appreciation and by Foamex with a diamond award for outstanding achievement. He is a member of Detroit Color Council, American Society for Quality, American Association of Laboratory Accreditation, Industrial Fabrics Association International, and American Society of Testing and Materials.
Fritz received an associate's in chemistry from Tri-State University and a bachelor's in business from Purdue University.
