WARRENDALE, Pa., June 13, 2007 - University of Houston FSAE

University of Houston's Formula SAE® team is the recipient of the William R. "Bill" Adam Formula SAE Grant for Rookie Teams. The award was presented prior to the 2007 Formula SAE competition in Romeo, Mich.

The SAE Foundation funds this grant. In addition to supporting the awards, recognition and scholarship programs of SAE International, the SAE Foundation develops and funds programs and incentives that foster student interest in engineering, scientific and technical education.

2007 marked the first time that the University of Houston Cougar Racing team competed in the Formula SAE event in 11 years.

In addition to racing in the competition, the team also exhibited its vehicle at the Houston Auto Show.
