Futures Panel to Explore Infinite Possibilities at SAE International AeroTech Congress

WARRENDALE, Pa., Sept. 17, 2007 -    “What if . .  .?”

  • Large quantities of clean, fresh water could be extracted from thin air?
  • Forest fires could be extinguished from a high-flying, unmanned aircraft with an electrostatic beam that prevents wood from burning?
  • Tiny robots could be inserted into an injured human body to rebuild severed nerves, ligaments and muscles?
  • Aircraft could fly halfway around the world in one hour?
  • We developed batteries that never run down?
  • Holograms haunted terrorists, dissuading them from violence?

“What if…?” That simple question will help break down the barriers of conventional thinking and launch a panel of experts into a discussion on the myriad possibilities of tomorrow’s technology at the SAE International 2007 AeroTech Congress & Exhibition, Sept. 17-20, at the Los Angeles Convention Center .  The event is hosted by Northrop Grumman Corporation.
