Excitement remains high as preparations run full throttle towards the SAE 2003 World Congress, the world's largest event dedicated to automotive engineering and technology. This year's event features a new Technology Theater, home to executive panels and presentations on hot issues in the automotive industry. Also new for 2003: Displays of advanced vehicle technologies from Ford, General Motors, and DaimlerChrysler will demonstrate new technology systems and demonstrate key supplier partnerships.

Representatives from more than 40 nations will attend the four-day event, and worries about potential conflict in the Middle East have not slowed the pace of registrations significantly.

The media center, sponsored for the third consecutive year by DENSO, will be conveniently located on the first floor in W1-54 at Cobo Center, with direct access to the exhibit hall.
