FORMULA SAE SET FOR AUTO CLUB SPEEDWAY JUNE 25-28: 82 University Teams from Nine Countries Entered

WARRENDALE, Pa., June 11, 2008 -


THE EVENT:                 Formula SAE West, an educational competition in the SAE Collegiate Design Series


WHAT:                          Eighty-two university teams from Brazil, Canada, China, Japan, Mexico, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, U.S. and Venezuela come together for the final event in the 2008 SAE Collegiate Design Series, a winner of the National Science Foundation Public Service Award. In Formula SAE competition, students design, build and compete with small formula-style racing cars. The restrictions on the car frame and engine are limited so that the knowledge, creativity and imagination of the team members are challenged.
