AEI Publishes Special Tribute to GM�s 100 Years of Innovation

WARRENDALE, Pa., July 31, 2008 - The August issue of Automotive Engineering International (AEI) includes a bonus 52-page  supplement  saluting 100 years of General Motors innovation and the innovators involved -- the engineers, scientists and executives. 

Background information for this project was developed through interviews with:

  • Current GM executives Larry Burns, Denise Gray, Jim Queen and Tom Stephens;
  • Center for Automotive Research Chairman, Dave Cole;
  •  Retired GM engineering executives including Hulki Aldikacti, Josh Madden, Craig Marks, Dave McLellan, Neil Schilke , Ted Robertson, Don Runkle and Robert Stempel. 

The project was directed by AEI Senior Editor, Lindsay Brooke, with contributions from leading autowriters Ronald Ahrens, Larry Gustin, Don Sherman, and Gary Witzenburg. 

The supplement includes a special gatefold poster highlighting the many engineering and technical milestones that helped build GM.

Copies of GM’s Century of Innovation will be available at SAE International’s booth during the Management Briefing Seminars in Traverse City, Mich., Aug. 12-14.
