SAE International/EDTA Team to Offer Electric Transportation Conference in Nation�s Capital

WASHINGTON, D.C., Nov. 6, 2008 - Identifying ways to make electric transportation more viable and prevalent is the focus of the Electric Drive Transportation Association’s (EDTA) annual conference and exhibition, slated for Dec. 2-4, 2008, at the Washington Convention Center . SAE International is co-organizer for the event. 

EDTA is a trade association representing hybrid, battery, plug-in and fuel cell electric drive technologies and infrastructure.

“The EDTA Conference is the premiere advanced transportation and policy event of the year,” says EDTA President Brian Wynne.  “Reducing oil dependence is one of the first challenges the new Administration and Congress will face.  This conference will identify the technologies and policies that are critical to electrifying the transportation sector for increasing national security, improving the environment, and building a green-jobs economy.”
