First International SAE Fuels & Lubricants Conference to be held in Paris in June

Warrendale PA,, Feb. 8, 2000 - The first international edition of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Spring Fuels & Lubricants Conference will be held at Le Palais des Congres, Paris, France, June 19-22, 2000.

The meeting is co-sponsored by the Co-ordinating European Council (CEC) in cooperation with the Japan Society of Automotive Engineers (JSAE).

Invited speakers include Christian Pierret, French Minister of Industry; Rodica Baranescu, SAE International 2000 President and Chief Engineer, Engine Performance & Foundry Division, Navistar International Transportation Corporation; Richard Biggin, CEC President (Elect) and Manager, Industry and Environmental, Lubrizol, Great Britain, Ltd.; and Nick Scheele, President, Ford Europe.

Other senior officials have been invited from BP Amoco, Infineum, Toyota Motor Company, as well as several French oil company executives. More than 40 technical and panel sessions will focus on areas in fuels, lubricants, combustion, emissions, statistical applications and environmental issues.
