Description
The award recognizes an individual in the air transport industry working for an aerospace supplier (Tier 2 or Tier 3) whose efforts contribute to the excellence of the Prime manufacturers and the viability of airline operations. The individual should be highly valued for providing excellent, meaningful support to customers.

In the assessment of his/her peers, the individual should have contributed to the advancement in safety, reliability and product worthiness in the air transport industry through his/her initiative, dedication; and excellence in personal interfaces in working with customers to achieve operational efficiency for customers and users. This award is intended to recognize the considerable contributions of individuals who support the product life cycle.

The Award
This award, established in 2001, is administered by the Aubin Aerospace Customer Support Award for Excellence Board. The award consists of an original designed certificate and plaque presented each year at a major SAE aerospace meeting.

In 2005, Bruce R. Aubin donated the funds to establish the corpus for this award. In recognition of this generous contribution, the award was renamed to honor Mr. Aubin and recognize his achievements and dedication to the aerospace industry. The award was formerly named "SAE Aerospace Customer Support Person of the Year Award".
