Bruce R. Aubin
Mr. Bruce R. Aubin, Senior Vice President of Technical Services (ret) at AirCanada retired after 40 years of service and was elected Senior Vice President of Maintenance Operations (ret) at US Airways. He has dedicated over 50 years of service to the advancement of aerospace engineering. After serving as the 1993 SAE President, Mr. Aubin has been extremely active in the society by holding leadership positions as Chair of the SAE Aerospace Program Office and Vice Chair of the SAE Foundation Canada Board of Directors. He is also a Fellow of SAE, Royal Aeronautical Society, Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute, and an Associate Fellow of the AIAA. He is listed in Who's Who in Engineering and has been honored with several awards including the SAE/AIAA William Littlewood Memorial Lecture, SAE Medal of Honor, Franklin W. Kolk Air Transportation Progress Award, SAE Marvin Whitlock Award, SAE Forest R. McFarland Award, ATA "Nuts and Bolts" Award, and the Landry Award. He is the author of "Aircraft Maintenance-The Art and Science of Keeping Aircraft Safe" and many other technical articles. Mr. Aubin holds a bachelor's in aeronautical engineering from St. Louis University and a master's in business administration from McGill University in Montreal. He currently resides in St. Catherine, Ontario with his wife Nancy.
