This award recognizes the distinguished achievement and contribution to SAE on the local level by section members. Recipients are selected from the candidates nominated each year by sections/groups for the Outstanding Section Member Award.

The Award
This award, established in 1994 in honor of Noble R. Patterson, consists of a laminated certificate and is presented at the Honors Convocation during the SAE International Congress & Exposition.
