SAE Faculty Advisors Award

Nomination deadline: November 15

Nomination Form

Faculty Advisors and Collegiate Design Team Advisors play an important role in the development of students as future engineers.  To help acknowledge this, The Teetor Educational Award Committee has established a program to recognize outstanding Faculty Advisors at SAE Collegiate Branches.

In order to be considered for this award, a Faculty Advisor must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a paid SAE member in good standing
  • Be an SAE Faculty Advisor or Collegiate Design Team Advisor for a minimum of three years
  • Their university must have an average of 25 paid student members for the last three years at the level of Collegiate Branch
  • May not have been a recipient of this award in the previous 3 years.

Each recipient receives expense reimbursements for travel to any SAE technical conference in that calendar year (up to $1,600). They are also recognized at the Faculty Advisors Committee meeting during the SAE World Congress meeting in Detroit.

To nominate yourself or your Faculty Advisor, please complete the nomination form.

Nominations must be submitted by November 15.
