Description
This membership grade provides a means to recognize and honor those members who have made a significant impact on society's mobility technology through research, innovation or creative leadership.

The Award
This program, established in 1975, is administered by the SAE Fellow Committee. Election to Fellow is an exceptional professional distinction bestowed on around 20 recipients each year. Candidates are elected only from nominations submitted by SAE Member and Fellow grade members. Deadline for submission is July 2. The award consists of a distinctive Fellow pin presented at the Fellow dinner Monday evening at the SAE World Congress. This special dinner honors the newly elected Fellows. A framed certificate is also presented to each new Fellow at the SAE World Congress.
