Russell S. Springer Award

Description
The Russell S. Springer award is given for original and outstanding technical papers which are distinct contributions to the literature of the professions of mobility engineering and for the encouragement of the younger members.

The award is made annually by SAE to a young eligible SAE member whose paper, presented at an SAE sponsored technical conference, is published in SAE Literature in the year for which the award is made. The paper will be judged for original content and contribution to the profession. All eligible papers will be considered.

This award, established in 1954, is administered by the Springer Award Board and consists of a framed certificate and an honorarium.  It is presented at the Awards Ceremony during the SAE World Congress.
