Description
Awarded to promote careers in manufacturing by recognizing young men and women, ages 35 and under, who have significant accomplishments as manufacturing leaders and who show potential for significant leadership growth in industry. These individuals must have:

• Proven accomplishments in their manufacturing career;
• Shown promise and possess leadership ability;
• Received recognition from their employer or organization; and
• Demonstrated commitment to the community.

The Award
This award, established in 2006, is sponsored by the SAE Foundation. The Foundation has for a number of years given annual recognition to a senior industry executive. In 2005, the SAE Foundation determined that, in order to promote careers in manufacturing, it would also be appropriate to recognize young men and women, ages 35 and under, exhibiting leadership growth potential and accomplishments as manufacturing leaders. More than one award may be issued each year.
